About
From the time I was a boy, my mind was set on becoming a successful businessman and living a lifestyle that reflected just that. You see, growing up our family was not what you would call wealthy by any financial means. My parents were always working long and hard to provide our necessities.
We didn’t consider ourselves poor but we also knew we weren’t rich. So, my mind was always geared to be an entrepreneur because that’s what I thought was the best way to be rich, or so I thought. I was always trying to find ways to make money whether it was setting up a diner in my mom’s kitchen and charging my sister for lunch or building a homemade miniature golf course in our basement and charging my friends a fee for playing.
When I got older, my new love was the stock market. Once I could understand the concept of buy low and sell high, I knew I wanted to do something in the financial field. I entered college knowing what I wanted to do and was excited about doing it. I graduated with a degree in Business Finance from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and was ready to start my new job that I had lined up before graduation as a Financial Advisor.
It wasn’t long after I started that I realized one of the most important lessons of my life thus far. I learned that the man I wanted to be as a child was not the man I wanted to be as an adult. You see, I was doing well for my clients and for myself but I felt that the environment I was in was only concerned about themselves and I was worried that it would overcome me. My values as a child had kicked in and I realized that there was more value for me in helping others than there was in helping myself. I realized that I wanted to help people and I knew that it was my calling in life. I had learned that there was a difference between standard of living and quality of life. My parents taught me that whether they meant to or not. It was at this point that I knew I needed a change and opted to help start Clearview Financial Group.
My doing so has helped me define who I am as an individual and businessperson. Helping my clients make the best financial decisions possible is what I believe to be my calling. My main focus is on those who are in or near retirement. There are so many important decisions that need to be made at this point in life and my goal for them is to be able to live a comfortable and full retirement without the worries of financial concerns. My prayer is that my calling in life will touch the lives of many and be honoring to God. I look forward to talking with you soon.
God bless you and your family!
Sincerely,
Kevin
